QRFV ARTICLE FORMAT:

Authors should submit manuscripts as attachments. We prefer 12-pt. type uniformly used throughout all manuscripts. All text attachments should be sent to <wheelerdixon@windstream.net>.

The paper should be prepared using MS Word or WordPerfect, in IBM or MAC format.

QRFV accepts essays in MLA or Chicago formats. Footnotes and/or endnotes are permitted. If using MLA format, please use parenthetical citations throughout the text, and a list of works cited at the end. All film titles are underlined, with date of production directly following in parentheses. Use MLA Handbook, 7th Edition; or, if in Chicago format, the Chicago Manual of Style, 15th Edition.

EVERY film title discussed must give the full name of the director and year of the film in each case before the title at FIRST MENTION ONLY, as in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho (1960).

Please be very careful to include ALL PAGE NUMBERS on works cited. If using MLA style, articles in journals, or in anthologies, must be listed with the COMPLETE INCLUSIVE pagination of the article or essay in the Works Cited section. Similarly, all quotes within your essay must be followed immediately by a parenthetical citation from the work in question, for example: (Sarris 35).

For those who use British style sheets, we require the FULL NAME of all authors listed in the Works Cited, (never Sarris, A., for example, but Sarris, Andrew), and REGULAR QUOTES (“      ”) for all quotes used within the article. PLEASE, NO SINGLE QUOTES USED IN THE ESSAY.

THE ENTIRE TEXT, INCLUDING WORKS CITED, MUST BE DOUBLE-SPACED. NO OTHER SPACING IS ALLOWED. There must be NO single-spaced material in the essay of any kind, including indented textual citations within an essay, author blurb, or any other materials.

USE NO ITALICS AT ANY TIME; BOOK TITLES AND FILM TITLES ARE ALWAYS UNDERLINED, and articles are in quotes. WORDS USED FOR EMPHASIS SHOULD ALSO BE UNMDERLINED; please do this sparingly, if at all. USE NO PAGE BREAKS.

Please include COMPLETE address information for your CELL PHONE, HOME AND WORK MAILING ADDRESSES, home phone, fax, and e-mail information for both your work and home addresses, and a brief biographical blurb with departmental affiliation, rank and recent publications.

WE DO NOT PUBLISH PHOTOGRAPHS IN QRFV: please do embed any photographs in your manuscript, or send them as attachments, OR REFER TO ANY PHOTOS WITHIN YOUR TEXT. This is because of international copyright restrictions; we are read in some 37 countries around the world.

EACH MANUSCRIPT MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY THE COPYRIGHT RELEASE FORM, which is downloadable as a PDF at  <http://eng-wdixon.unl.edu/qrfv.pdf>.

Please fill out the form with THE FULL TITLE, INCLUDING ALL SUBHEADS, of article, name, date, and institution, then check the box "I am the sole author of this article," then go to the bottom of the form and sign your name, print your name, list your university affiliation, date it, and then SCAN THE FORM AND SUBMIT IT AT THE SAME TIME YOU SUBMIT YOUR ARTICLE, AS AN ATTACHMENT.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY MATERIALS BY FAX.

Please make certain that all the above material is in one document, not just the manuscript itself, but also the author address, blurb, and other details.

Please submit the article as ONE document, with all the required materials at the end of your essay. Do not split your essay into separate files.

Ideal length: 20 minimum to 40 pages maximum.

Again, please make sure to include FULL CONTACT INFORMATION, INCLUDING ALL CELL PHONES, HOME PHONES, WORK PHONES AND E-MAIL AND REGULAR MAILING ADDRESSES WITH ALL SUBMISSIONS.

Author Copies: As of February 2012, QRFV has replaced hardcopy editions mailed to authors with a more flexible benefit for authors.  Authors now receive 50 free "Eprints" of their article.  "Eprints" are special links that grant complimentary online access to the article that authors can distribute to colleagues and friends.

Authors receive access to author benefits on Taylor & Francis Online after the final version of the their article is published.  An email is sent to the author, with the subject “Your author's copy on Taylor & Francis Online.” This email will usually be sent automatically 1 to 5 days after the article is posted.

Access is granted based on the authors' e-mail address recorded by production in CATS.  All authors, including secondary and non-corresponding authors, are eligible to receive author access if we have a valid email address.

Authors must register with Taylor & Francis Online in order to receive author benefits.  When authors register they receive access to author benefits for all articles linked to their CATS email address as provided to our production team.  If the author already has an account, author benefits for their article will be granted automatically.

SUBMIT YOUR ARTICLE. WITH THE COPYRIGHT FORM IN THE SAME E-MAIL, DIRECTLY TO:
